My love to designing clay started accidentally as I visited one of the pottery classes with my daughters and then I fell in love with this art.
I work with stoneware clay and strive for organic forms, emphasizing the contrast between the rough surface of the clay and smooth, silky glaze. Most of the pieces are hand-thrown, trimmed and glazed, therefore not even two pieces are totally identical.
Now working with clay for me presents a natural answer as a disconnection from the regular workday, because I was always seekingĀ for a designing and working with hands. Probably for me this represents a return to the basic roots. So far, and somehow, mainly with the help of my customers, friends and family, Iām able to make my life more artistically gifted. I am constantly humbled by this art, this craft, and I am thankful to have found it and for it to be part of who I am.
