In September, I attended a ceramic glazing workshop led by Barbara Gogola and Petra Drašković Pelc. Through expert lectures and hands-on activities, we explored the composition of glazes, the properties of different raw materials, and the role of frits, silica, and other components in creating a variety of surface effects.
A special focus was placed on understanding how different materials interact and how we can develop our own unique glaze recipes by combining them. The workshop provided valuable knowledge, practical guidance, and plenty of inspiration for further exploration in ceramics.
It was an extremely enriching and educational experience, and we hope to continue building on this knowledge through future advanced workshops.
